Botox® is fast becoming popular as it is very effective in removing wrinkles. It may be used to smooth wrinkles in the face and neck to create a more youthful appearance. It is also frequently used on the thin wrinkles that surround the eyes (often called crow’s feet) and the mouth, but can also be used in other areas.
Botulinum A Toxin, a purified protein made from botulism bacteria, is a solution that temporarily paralyzes the nerves of the facial muscles so as not contract and cause wrinkles. Botox® is also helpful in treating migraine headaches, and can be used to decrease excessive sweating of the palms and underarms.
